End of the year message
As the school year ends, I want to give a heartfelt thank you to the all the teachers and staff of HCS. When the call went out they answered. When our global situation called for change the HCS staff made those changes without hesitation. What an amazing group of educators HCS is blessed to have working on behalf of our students, community, and school.

Hoonah City School is a  Trauma-Sensitive School.

We strive to ensure that all students feel safe, welcomed, and supported.  Working to mitigate trauma’s impact on learning is at the center of our educational mission. Hoonah City Schools  is a place where an ongoing, inquiry-based process allows for teamwork, coordination, creativity, and sharing of responsibility for all students, and where continuous learning is for educators as well as students.
