Middle School & High School Resources Through May 1, the Hoonah City School District will focus on providing a variety of supplemental learning activities for students at home. This will not take the place of regular classroom instruction, and therefore assignments will not be required or graded at this time.
Concurrently, the Hoonah City School District is regularly communicating with the Alaska Department of Education and working on options for distance education in the event of a prolonged closure.
HCSD is making plans to prioritize graduating seniors and helping all high school students progress through their credits. Keeping our students on track academically is of utmost importance to us at HCSD. Please utilize these supplemental resources through May 1 and be ready for a more robust digital learning experience in the future if a longer closure is warranted.
