Hello Hoonah!

I was as surprised as many of you were when you found out about my return to Hoonah City Schools. I am very happy to be a part of such a dynamic group of educators who are dedicated to our community and our children. Our local elected School Board welcomed me back for the rest of this year and the next school year, too.

This past year has presented its share of challenges, but together, we have demonstrated resilience, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to our shared goal: providing our students will-balanced programs that prioritize student success.

Make time during the summer break to plan fun activities as a family. Whether it is a picnic in the park or a fish trip to Long Island, spending quality time together strengthens family bonds and creates lasting memories. May this summer be a time of relaxation, reflection and growth for you and your loved ones.

As we look forward to the 2024-2025 school year, we are focused on fostering a culture of continuous improvement and embracing new opportunities for innovation and growth. Thank you for all your support and I look forward to our continued journey together in the upcoming school year.
